“The US has economic leverage over China, but only up to a point,” said Steven Okun, chief executive of APAC Advisors, a geopolitical advisory firm based in Singapore.
“Trump does not understand that he does not have all the cards, and the US seemingly has no plan for Chinese retaliation.”
